Meet Dr. David Bastien, a dedicated physician with a unique background. Before embarking on his medical career, Dr. Bastien worked as a tool and die journeyman at Ford in Windsor, where he developed strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. He earned his MD from the University of Toronto and completed his residency at Western University. Following his residency, he spent four years practicing emergency medicine at a high-volume, high-acuity hospital in Oshawa, Ontario. Additionally, he provided services in emergency departments across the province through Health Force Ontario, focusing on under-resourced communities.

In 2022, Dr. Bastien moved to Sarnia with his family and transitioned to family medicine. Committed to improving healthcare access, he has implemented numerous innovations in his practice to ensure high-quality care for the community. Dr. Bastien has updated all patient charts and migrated them to a new cloud-based electronic medical record (EMR) system, enabling him to access patient information on the go. He is also integrating artificial intelligence to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of documentation. With a passion for making a positive impact, Dr. Bastien is dedicated to providing exemplary care in an underserved community.
